Rick Ross famously owns over 100 collectible cars but hasn’t been legally able to drive any of them — until now. According to a new interview with the Today show, Rozay finally got his driver’s license at the ripe age of 45 with the encouragement of his mother and sister.
“I actually was driven to the test. I have over 100 cars, and I just hadn’t had my license,” he told host Al Roker. “So whenever I go joy riding, you know, it was just one of those things. My mom and sister pressured me, finally, so I went, took the test. It took me an hour. You know, I missed a few answers but I got it, I got it.”
Ross was asked if the wait was worth it to which he replied, “It was. You know, because you should have your driver’s license. It was just something about my smile, and anytime I got pulled over, by the time the officer walked up…”
Elsewhere in the interview, Rick Ross talked about his dramatic weight loss and his insatiable drive to be a success.
“I feel great,” he said. “I’ve dropped close to 100 pounds. I’ve kept them off for close to three years.
“Having drive and passion to where I used to refuse to go to sleep. I would maybe lay down for two or three hours a day and be right back up because I wanted to succeed, I wanted to be successful.”

Ross was on deck to promote his latest book, The Perfect Day To Boss Up: A Hustler’s Guide To Building Your Empire, a self-help guide that teaches readers how to go from “mud to marble.”
He has several rituals he likes to perform every day that help him achieve his goals.
“I love to wake up [at] six thirty in the morning, and I do a thing that I call ‘barefoot chronicles,’” he said. “I walk back and forth barefoot and I give the universe an opportunity to bless the boy.”
