Atlanta, GA – Young Thug is hoping to enlist one of the world’s leading visionaries (not to mention wealthiest people) to help him build Slime City.
On Tuesday (October 19), the Atlanta rapper publicly reached out to Elon Musk on Twitter, requesting his assistance in making his mini-metropolis sustainable and environmentally friendly.
“I wanna make Slime City solar powered wya @elonmusk,” he tweeted at the Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder.
Musk, who just recently reclaimed his title as the world’s richest person with a staggering net worth of $236 billion, has yet to respond to Thug’s request.

The seeds for Slime City were planted in August when Young Thug was gifted 100 acres of open land just outside his hometown of Atlanta from his manager, Geoff Ogunlesi, and realtor Trey Williams for his 30th birthday.
“I secretly locked down 100 acres of land for his birthday and now he’s about to build Slime City!” Williams wrote on Instagram at the time. “This is hands down one of the best ways to invest your money!”
Later that month, Trey Williams revealed Young Thug’s plans for Slime City, which includes building homes, a waterpark, a camping site and a dirt bike trail on the undeveloped land. Thug is also looking to host his annual music festival, Slime Fest, on the premises.
Young Thug was still waiting on approval from the city when his plans were made public and it remains unclear whether he’s been given the green light. But according to Williams, Thugga is eager to start making Slime City a reality.
“When [Young Thug] wants something, he wants it now,” he told TMZ. “Everything is already in the works. Everything will be happening as soon as possible, as soon as we get all the architects involved, engineers. It’s a few things we got to put in place — permits and stuff like that. Once all that gets in place, then we’ll start building up.”
Away from his burgeoning career as a property magnate, Young Thug is currently busy promoting his new album Punk. The 20-track project arrived last Friday (October 15) with appearances from Drake, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Future, A$AP Rocky, the late Mac Miller and more.
The eccentric Atlanta native brought his new sounds to SNL on Saturday (October 16), where he performed “Tick Tock” and “Love You More” alongside his YSL running mate Gunna, Fun. singer Nate Reuss and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
