New York, N.Y. – While Sheff G remains behind bars, a report from the New York Daily News uncovered via court documents that the 2021 HipHopDX Rising Star — born Michael Williams — pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to two years in prison.
The Daily News report shed light on Sheff G’ blowing through a pair of stop signs in August and slamming his Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG 63 into a woman’s Cadillac bumper. He eventually hit a tree where he was apprehended by Nassau County cops in Great Neck, New York.
The victim, who is named Alexia Friend, filed a lawsuit against Sheff G with the Brooklyn Supreme Court for his reckless role in the crash where he allegedly “knocked over shrubs and a street sign in the lawn after hopping the curb” with his SUV.
Sheff G was then sentenced to two years in prison on October 20 which stems from a January traffic stop in New York City where NYPD officers allegedly discovered a loaded .45-caliber Glock in the vehicle. Correctional records show that the “No Suburban” rapper is being held at notorious NYC prison Rikers Island.
“Imma live it up to the fullest every single day,” he wrote shortly after the January arrest. “… NYPD SUCK MY DICK … Free my dogs. Our success is inevitable.”
