Playboi Carti's 'Whole Lotta Red' Even Has Prison Inmates Turning Up

Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red brings the rage out of people from all walks of life. A clip that recently went viral found a crew of prisoners turning up in jail with Carti’s screech filling the cavernous detention center.

The clip finds a group of inmates enjoying Whole Lotta Red‘s raucous “Stop Breathing” with some singing along and others hitting some dance moves while the punk-rap track is somehow hooked up to a speaker system in the jail.

“No cap,” the person filming can be heard saying with a laugh before going on to rap lyrics. “On the way to Front Street, who say we ain’t outside/Smokin’ on the Henchmen, got a n-gga fried.”

Akademiks reposted the viral clip to his page on Sunday (January 16) but it isn’t specified where the moment took place or when exactly the video was recorded.

Carti’s music has influenced fans to take their energy to another level. While on his King Vamp Tour, Carti’s Houston show was canceled before the chaos ensued as fans rushed the venue and were wreaking havoc.

A year after its Christmas Eve 2020 release, WLR earned a positive 4.4/5 score review from HipHopDX as we crowned the Playboi Carti album as the “sound of 2021.”
