While Cordae is going to be enjoying life on the road as part of his upcoming From A Bird’s Eye View Tour, he might be seeking a stark change to his lifestyle soon after. In a feature with British GQ published on Monday (January 31), Cordae teased going on a month-long retreat to a monastery and living with monks.

“We’ve got one life to live man, I gotta make the most out of this and take the brain to different levels that I never did before,” he explained of the possibility.

The DMV native recognizes growth comes from uncomfortable situations and he’s up for the challenge to take the vow of silence and live with monks to learn about their serene lifestyle with no use of technology or communication with the outside world.

“I live by faith n-gga, instead of fear,” he once rapped on The Lost Boy‘s “Bad Idea.”

Even though Cordae is set on making the switch, it’s tough to imagine the loved ones in his life such as his mom or girlfriend/tennis superstar Naomi Osaka giving their stamp of approval on the month-long journey.
