Kanye West has cleared his Instagram yet again and released another poem on the heels of pouring his heart out over his “Divorce” from Kim Kardashian.
On Tuesday morning (March 8), Yeezy penned a poem using “Dead” as his main theme, painting a lonely and depressing picture of a soul stuck in purgatory.
“No one wanted to tell me I was DEAD,” the poem begins. “And only people that would talk to me were in my head/No one wanted to tell me I was DEAD/Only people who loved me would visit in their dreams instead.”
After touching on his children, the press and people draining his bank account, Kanye’s poem takes an unexpected turn.
“I found out one day at the newsstand in pergatory [sic] there was a front page article of my murderers story/I was so surprised at what it said/This info is for the living/And surprise… You’re DEAD.”

In his Instagram caption, Kanye West opened up about his disgust for having to compromise or explain his intentions when he’s dedicated his life to the performative art form.
“I feel already compromised that I have to justify my expression after over 20 years of art that I’ve contributed to the planet but I also see the need to make sure we as a species are allowed to still feel anything Men not allowed to cry celebrities not allowed to cry,” he wrote.
“I will not explain this new piece for the explanation destroys the mystery and magic of true love and puts it in a box that can be counted Art is subjective Art only works when it is the artist absolute truth Someone’s truth can be another persons lie We don’t all have to feel the same because we are not the same.”
Although Kanye has refused to explain the meaning behind his latest poem, a clue might lie in an interview he did with with German-Indian artist Tino Sehgal for 032c magazine last December.
During the conversation, Ye spoke about “death” and revealed his trip to Berlin last summer morphed into a larger idea for a performance piece called “The Funeral Rehearsal of Kanye West.”
“I can’t let nobody love me too much, because I’m gonna get into this trap of love,” he said. “And then I owe it to everyone to be the person that they fell in love with. And I’ll never be that person. I have to always have the freedom of being disliked, so I can always be me.
“And so, [“The Funeral Rehearsal of Kanye West”] is the death of Kanye West. It is the death of the ego that separates us – it’s the birth of humanity. Let me start by killing myself. The less you, the more room for God.”
