Posted by Victor Santiago, professionally known as the rapper and podcaster N.O.R.E., has been named in a lawsuit alleging sexual assault against Carmen Bryan, the mother of Nas‘ daughter. The legal action, filed on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in New York, details an incident that allegedly occurred 27 years ago.
According to the 20-page complaint, the incident took place at a crowded New York City nightclub in May 1999 while N.O.R.E. was promoting his album Melvin Flint – Da Hustler. Bryan alleges that an intoxicated N.O.R.E. forced himself upon her, committing an act of nonconsensual digital penetration. The suit claims that Bryan had to be physically pulled away from the rapper by other patrons at the venue.
Bryan further alleges that she was followed by N.O.R.E. after fleeing the club, where he continued to make inappropriate comments until he realized her identity as the mother of Nas‘ child. She claims he subsequently apologized, both at that time and again weeks later during a Father’s Day event.
The decision to pursue legal action now was reportedly influenced by the 2023 lawsuit filed by Cassie Ventura against Diddy. Bryan’s attorney, Marjorie Mesidor, stated, “Ms. Bryan is coming forward not only to demand accountability for the lasting trauma and public humiliation inflicted upon her, but to challenge the culture of entitlement that treats women’s bodies as collateral damage.”
The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages for emotional distress and mental anguish. According to the filing, Bryan attempted to address the matter privately with N.O.R.E. in March, but the rapper reportedly denied knowing her. Representatives for N.O.R.E. have not yet provided a public response to the allegations.
