As the old saying goes, “Better late than never.” Roughly a year and three months after Kodak Black infuriated a whole bunch of people when he essentially hit on Nipsey Hussle’s girlfriend Lauren London only days after he was murdered in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles, he’s offering a proper apology — and T.I. is here for it.
On Monday (July 6), the incarcerated rapper hit up Instagram and expressed regret over his handling of the situation.
“Willin To Accept When I’m Wrong & Stand Firm When I’m Right,” he wrote in the caption. “The Whole World Know Your Example Was A Guiding Light. I Pray Your Fam Light & Accept This Humble Apology In My Kite. You Remind Me Of Ice Cube, Bunchy Carter & Huey P. A Hustler & Owner The Second Coming Of Easy E. What Happened To You Could’ve Happened To Me!
“Im a Young Philanthropist Like You. Even Tho We From Two Different Worlds, I Saw Your Vision But I Notice That My Words Are Often Misinterpreted. Sometimes A Man Say Things He Doesn’t Really Mean But On Some Z Shit I Never Meant To Disrespect Your Queen, Homie I Was Really Respecting Your Scene. #FLYHIGH Ima Keep The Marathon Going.”
Tip noted in the comment section, “That’s solid!”

Neighborhood Nip was shot and killed on March 31, 2019 by alleged gunman Eric Holder. Roughly a week later, Kodak was celebrating the fact London would now be single.
“She finna be out here single! She finna be a whole widow out here,” Kodak said at the time. “I’ll be the best man I could be for her. I’ll give her a whole year, she might need a whole year to be crying and shit for dude. I ain’t trying to shoot at her. I’m saying, listen, she can do two, three years. I’ll try to be like a friend to holla, a shoulder to lean on. You can call my line.”
Although he soon issued an apology of sorts, many of Nipsey’s peers weren’t having it. Dave East cut Kodak from his Survival album, explaining to REAL 92.3’s Big Boy, “Me and Nip, like I said when you asked me, it was deeper than rap. So anybody, I don’t care who it might’ve been, don’t speak on that man after that man gone if it’s not in a good light. Don’t speak on that man’s woman, that man’s kids. Don’t bring that man up.”
Tip also removed an art installation dedicated to Kodak from his Trap Music Museum in Atlanta. Rather than apologize then, Kodak blasted the museum on Instagram Live.
“Fuck all that other shit,” he said. “Fuck that pussy ass museum. Bitch, I didn’t give you permission to put me up there anyways, bitch. Fuck that pussy as museum.”
