Kendrick Lamar returned with his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album earlier in May and everyone quickly offered up an opinion on the project. Ralfy The Plug joined Bootleg Kev’s podcast shortly after the LP dropped on May 25 and it’s clear to say he wasn’t a fan of K. Dot’s latest offering.
Ralfy drew criticism from social media because he felt Kendrick’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers had “barbershop old n-gga vibes” mixed with “politic music.”
“You can’t just go throwing his album in front of people after five years like he’s just the messiah of rap. That’s just not realistic, especially when you got the homies dropping heat no skips,” Drakeo The Ruler’s brother explained. “If a n-gga like me don’t say something, the program continues.”
Even prior to hopping on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Ralfy made his opinion known on Twitter a day after the project’s arrival on May 14.
“Kendrick make the type of music you listen to when you on yo way to a job interview or when you at home doing homework so you got to put yo head phones on to block everybody out because knowledge is power I don’t be on that type shit don’t be mad at my opinion,” he wrote. “I like rap music not political poetry don’t @ me.”

Digging deeper on his take, Ralfy isn’t saying the project is awful as he complimented a few records and Kodak Black’s contributions, but he doesn’t want Kendrick’s album to be looked at as the savior of rap.
“In a month, nobody’s gonna be talking about none of them songs,” he concluded.
Niggas be like that’s to different type of artist you can’t come pare them well I like hip hop and hip hop is not just a bunch of political talk it’s about the culture the fashion the street shit the dancing shit talking it’s a sport thats only forthe elite
