This collaborative ethos sits at the heart of his forthcoming mixtape, ‘Like The Season’, which is scheduled for release on May 21st via Secret Friend.
The project follows a string of notable singles, including ‘Candlelight’ (featuring Asha Lorenz and Rael) and ‘Just’ (featuring Tony Bontana), both of which highlighted a significant evolution in Winter’s songwriting. ‘Things Can’t Stop’ continues this trajectory, offering a beautiful, meticulously crafted slice of alt-pop.
The track is defined by its impeccable attention to detail, a quality that is elevated by the presence of Lauren Auder. Reflecting on the creative process, Max Winter shared: “I’ve always been a big fan of Lauren’s music, particularly her use of piano. The instrument is central to ‘Things Can’t Stop,’ and it reminded me of her when I first made the demo. I reached out, and we spent several sessions over the course of a year developing the track together.”
