Sean Gathright, one of the four men convicted in the high-profile case, is seen in the video being confronted by law enforcement officers who explicitly blame him for the downfall of the entire group of suspects.
In the video, which surfaced on social media on Thursday, August 20, 2026, an officer is heard telling Gathright that his careless actions were the primary reason investigators were able to secure arrests. “You made way too many f**king mistakes, man. You brought the whole group down. Your prints, your phone, you got the gun, the casings. Bro, you brought this whole f**king group down,” the officer states during the interrogation.
The footage also captures a volatile moment in the station where Gathright is manhandled by four officers. The confrontation occurred after Gathright allegedly attempted to break through the ceiling of the room where he was being held and subsequently refused to comply with orders to sit down.
This development follows the June 2026 sentencing, where Gathright, alongside Isaiah Chance, Davion Murphy, and Rashad Murphy, received life sentences for their roles in the June 2024 killing of the Jacksonville rapper. The murder, which took place in a Tampa hotel parking lot, was described by prosecutors as a direct result of an ongoing gang feud in Jacksonville, Florida.
During the sentencing phase, Gathright attempted to plead for leniency, citing his upbringing and arguing that he should not be judged for actions taken before his brain had fully developed. However, Judge Michelle Sisco ultimately handed down life sentences without the possibility of parole for all four men involved in the first-degree murder conviction. A fifth individual, Alicia Andrews, was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison for her role in the case.
