The release arrives ahead of their highly anticipated new album, Here Because Of Hope, which is set to land on September 11th. The group is also preparing for a massive UK headline tour, which includes four sold-out nights at the O2 Academy Brixton in South London.
‘Jubilee Feeling’ stands as a testament to the group’s collaborative spirit. It is a deeply focused instrumental piece defined by a driving, rhythmic beat and a profound sense of communal joy. The track is further elevated by the superb piano work of Joe Armon-Jones, whose melodic contributions provide the perfect counterpoint to the band’s tight, percussive foundation.
The accompanying video, directed by Ebenezer Blanche and filmed in London, serves as a nostalgic ode to the transformative power of nightlife. Reflecting on the creative intent behind the single, Femi Koleoso explains: “Something we love deeply in the EZ is the feeling of raving and partying like you’re listening to classic British electronic music, but hearing Bebop and Jazz language. That juxtaposition is so EZ, so UK Jazz, so precious. The video is meant to demonstrate that juxtaposition—the dress code and vibes being so early ‘00s, but the music being so new and fresh; how nights out can spiral into so many different things but end up being this feeling of unmatched joy, a Jubilee Feeling.”
