Ye made a surprise appearance at the federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles to support Lil Durk at his murder-for-hire trial. The high-profile visit underscores the ongoing interest surrounding the legal proceedings, which have drawn significant attention from the hip-hop community.

On Thursday (Aug. 27), the Chicago rapper-producer walked into the courthouse and headed to the courtroom where the trial was being held. Dressed in an all-black outfit, Ye reportedly sat with the family of the accused as testimony continued. Additionally, the Grammy-winning artist was spotted with OTF artist Doodie Lo, with the pair holding up a “Free Durk” T-shirt in a clear show of solidarity.

“Ye We Love And Respect You For Showing Up At Our Darkest Times,” Doodie Lo wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

Ye is not the only prominent figure who has shown support for the rapper, who is currently on trial for allegedly orchestrating a hit on rival Quando Rondo in retaliation for the 2020 shooting death of King Von. The legal battle has become a focal point for many in the industry, with several artists making appearances to stand by the Chicago native.

Earlier in the week, on Monday (Aug. 24), Chicago rappers G Herbo, Dreezy, and Doodie Lo were seen outside the courthouse wearing “Free Durk” shirts. Machine Gun Kelly was also reported to have watched the hearing from an overflow room, while India Royale and Durk’s father, Durk Banks Sr., have also been present at the proceedings.

As the trial continues, the presence of major industry figures highlights the deep ties and support networks within the rap community. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
