Saint Abdullah & Eomac Announce New Album ‘When The Sandbox Has No Edge’

New York producer Saint Abdullah and Irish producer Eomac have officially announced their latest collaborative project, When The Sandbox Has No Edge. The album is scheduled for release on October 16th via the esteemed label Planet Mu, marking another significant chapter in their prolific partnership.

Since 2020, the duo has maintained a relentless creative pace, delivering four albums and an EP, including notable works such as Patience of a Traitor and Chasing Stateless. Their upcoming 17-track collection promises to push their sonic boundaries even further, firmly rooting itself in hip-hop while incorporating a diverse array of experimental textures.

The record features an impressive cast of collaborators, including contributions from Armand Hammer and Richie Culver. The project also benefits from the instrumental depth of cellist Lester St. Louis and guitarist Che Chen of 75 Dollar Bill. Furthermore, sound designer Seraphim has provided essential textures throughout the album, while the duo integrated samples sourced from charity shops and market stalls during their travels across the UK.

The production process was a cross-continental effort, largely taking place between 2024 and 2025. Saint Abdullah began the sessions in his daughter’s bedroom using Roland SP-404s, before sending the raw fragments to Eomac in Wicklow, where they were sculpted into the final compositions.

To celebrate the announcement, the duo has shared the video for the lead single, ‘Cyphers Become Sifr’, which features poet and rapper Abbas Zahedi. The track explores the multifaceted meanings of the word ‘cypher’ across mathematics and religion.

Tune in now.
