LA-based duo Faux Real have officially shared their new album, ‘Poison Time,’ in its entirety. The project marks a significant creative milestone for the pair, as they continue to refine their unique approach to alt-pop.
Released via the tastemaker imprint b4, the record sees the Franco-American duo returning to their roots. Brothers Elliott and Virgile Arndt embraced a hands-on, DIY methodology for this project, recording the material from the comfort of their own home. This intimate, self-contained process is evident in every note, lending the album a raw, unfiltered energy that feels both personal and expansive.
By adhering strictly to their own creative demands, the duo has crafted a soundscape that feels distinctly surreal. Faux Real have successfully injected the traditional alt-pop template with vivid, unexpected colors, resulting in a project that feels both familiar and entirely alien. The 11-track journey is as infectious as it is experimental, showcasing a band that is clearly operating at the height of their powers.

Following the release, Faux Real are set to take their surreal pop visions on the road. The duo will perform at London’s ICA on November 14th, serving as a centerpiece for a broader European tour. Fans can listen to the new album below.
