Posted by Bootie Brown has officially returned with his latest musical offering, the infectious new track ‘2 Get 2 You’. As a founding member of the iconic hip-hop group The Pharcyde, the three-time Grammy-nominated artist continues to demonstrate his enduring influence on the alternative music landscape.
For this release, Brown collaborates with Les Lockheart, resulting in a groove-laden, club-inflected anthem. The track masterfully bridges the gap between classic hip-hop sensibilities and modern house rhythms, exploring the lengths to which individuals will go to capture someone’s attention. It serves as a punchy, rhythmic bounce-back that highlights Brown’s ability to evolve while staying true to his roots.
Throughout a career spanning several decades, Bootie Brown has consistently positioned himself as a collaborative force, pushing the boundaries of alternative sound. Despite maintaining a rigorous schedule—including ongoing touring commitments with the Gorillaz—he remains dedicated to carving out space for fresh, left-field experimentation in the studio.
Reflecting on the creative genesis of the track, Brown shared: “I host a show called OrganicBeat Session on PharcydeTV, and Les Lockheart is one of many talented beatmakers who are showcased on the stream. I heard this track and knew I could create something special with it. I have been working on it for some time now, and it’s ready for me to share with the people.”
