April has shared her moving new single ‘Watching You Disappear’.
The Irish songwriter hails from a small town in County Kildare, yet her talent has sparked international hype.
Second EP ‘Luna’ lands on October 23rd, and it finds April working with guests Kojaque, and Spector’s Fred MacPherson.
New single ‘Watching You Disappear’ is a moving return, one prompted by hazy nights out and memories of listening to James Blake.
April broadens and deepens her approach, while retaining the immediate melodic appeal that lit up her debut EP.
She comments: “I wrote ‘Watching You Disappear’ at a time I was going out loads and doing things to take my mind off things and feelings, so the title is basically about me watching someone fade away in my mind as I preoccupy my brain! I used to listen to ‘I’ll Come Too’ by James Blake every night I’d go out, so I put the lyric ‘I’m in that kinda mood’ in my song as a little homage.”
