Swedish songwriter Bowski Island returns with new single ‘Physical Presence’.
The artist – real name Patrik Jakubowski – revels in intimate emotional connection, something he exudes on his new EP.
Set to be released later this Spring, Bowski Island’s debut EP is marked by a commitment to the craft.
New single ‘Physical Presence’ leads the way, a song that aims to burst through the walls raised up by the pandemic.
Exploring digital relationships, ‘Physical Presence’ yearns for the IRL, pinning down the divide between a computer screen and actual connection.
We’re hearing elements of Wild Beasts sweeping lyricism in here, alongside TV On The Radio’s knack for seeing around corners.
He comments: “I’m scared of the idea that we believe we have spent quality time together, when it’s only been through a screen. I hope that when we interact in real-life situations, the digital life we have become accustomed to does not impact us in a negative way.”
