Working from their own studio space in the heart of Cork city – an ex-government building that has become a creative hub for the local music community – The Altered Hours have been afforded the space to let their creativity run free.
New album ‘Convertible’ is incoming – order it HERE, in fact – and it’s accompanied by support dates alongside Fontaines D.C. on their current massive UK tour.
We’re able to share ‘Thistle’ and it’s a superb return from The Altered Hours, with the sloping bass line and splintered guitars set against that brooding vocal.
There’s a poetic flair to the lyricism, with the opening line “Resist Much Obey Little” utilising the words of American poet Walt Whitman.
The art-punk five-piece have shot a black and white video for the song, and it’s pared down monochrome seems to brilliantly suit their music.
