Flowvers have rapidly established themselves as a bold new voice.
Punchy, guitar driven songwriting with shades of Foals angular energy, we’re also hearing a dose of B-Town promise in their songwriting.
New single ‘Far Away’ is a punchy return, with Flowvers distilling their early promise down to a fine essence.
Out now, it deals with themes of escapism, and seemingly took around two years to write – from initial demo down to the released product.
Flowvers say: “‘Far Away’ was written over the last two years. The initial hook was what Stan used to play when warming up in rehearsals and it morphed into the intro and then it was plain sailing from there.”
The eerie visuals were shot at an old prison in their native Portsmouth, with film maker Alex Fountain working closely with the group to complete the clip.
Flowvers comments: “As despair looms, and anguish resonates, friend and director Alex Fountain guides us through the themes of our latest single ‘Far Away’. Henceforth finding the comfortable level of appropriacy that HM Kingston Prison holds. Resulting in a video depictive of the many dreary lives spent here.”
Tune in now.
