Henjila's 'Paper Boy' Has An Adorable Sense Of Honesty

Alt-pop voice Henjila has shared her adorably sincere new single ‘Paper Boy’.

The songwriter rose to prominence with her neat take on the old standard ‘Moon River’, rendering the oft-covered piece in a pure, honest way.

Her debut EP is incoming, and it finds the artist – who emigrated to the UK from Nepal when she was a baby – inviting fans into her world.

Growing up at the army barracks close to Sandhurst, Henjila pours her emotions into songs, into these bittersweet aspects of melody.

‘Paper Boy’ plays is straight, with her lyrics – frank and openly honest – set against some blisteringly sweet chord changes.

She comments..

“‘Paper Boy’ is about a girl who’s in a relationship with a boy with severe insecurities and anxiety disorders. He is as fragile as paper. She struggles to help him and tries her best to uplift his low mental state, as well as making mistakes, learning new things and loving him. It is a song I wrote about my first love.”
