Iceland’s Vök seem to envelope you in sound.
2019’s gorgeous ‘In The Dark’ was an immersive, highly textured offering, with its finely contoured electronic pop containing vast reserves of emotion.
Heading back into the studio last year, the Reykjavik based project burrowed inwards, pushing themselves further than ever.
New single ‘Lost In The Weekend’ finds Vök swooping back into view, glacial electronic pop that glistens with a mid-winter charm.
It’s a song about grappling with independence, about pushing ahead into uncharted waters; ‘Lost In The Weekend’ hinges on the energy of club culture, and its ability to bring people together.
We’re able to share the full video before anyone else, one that brings those songwriting themes to vivid life.
Lead singer Margret says: “With the video for ‘Lost in the Weekend’ we wanted to focus on the importance of showing your true self and letting one’s inner personality come out. Whatever you are on the inside, don’t be afraid to show it. Let’s celebrate our diversities.”
