Scottish comedian Limmy has shared a new song to mark Britain’s exit from the European Union.
The comedian has torn the Brexit mindset to shreds over the past four years, with his regular pronouncements – “Yous having a nice Brexit, aye?” – becoming a running joke with followers.
This new song samples a call to LBC host James O’Brien, in which a hardcore Brexiteer sees the light and completely changes their mind.
Hilarious and incredibly cutting, Limmy’s wonky arrangement is perfectly off-key for the bumbling logic of the mis-guided Right Wing vocal.
It’s getting a great reaction, too – Armando Ianucci is a fan, while James O’Brien also gave it the thumbs up.
Indeed, the host commented: “Only James Brown gets sampled more than me. But his estate gets royalties!”
