Stanley Odd are a force to be reckoned with.
The band are one of Scottish hip-hop’s most visible exports, matching some wild production elements to those hard-hitting rhymes.
Steeped in political and societal awareness, Stanley Odd also have a wicked sense of humour – nothing they do is po-faced.
New album ‘STAY ODD’ is out on April 12th, a project that took around four years to complete.
Confident in their oddness, it’s packed with surprises and unpredictable elements, a world that will be expanded beyond the album itself.
Stanley Odd have constructed a 56 page book to accompany the release, commenting:
“It’s a lyric book, it’s a scrapbook, it’s a notebook, it’s a picture book; it showcases all the artwork, some of the video content, fan photos and – of course – the words and stories of the songs.”
Ahead of this, we’re able to share new song ‘Undo Redo’ and it’s tale of club-centric tension and release.
Where does it truly get us? Can leisure time come to have greater value in our lives? And what form will this take on a post-lockdown world?
Stanley Odd ask all the right questions, and come up with some answers, too – watch the video now.
