New York, N.Y. – With the Atlanta Hawks set to square off against the New York Knicks in the Big Apple Tuesday night (March 22), that means NYC’s villain No. 1 Trae Young will be making his return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since bouncing the Knicks out of the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
The Atlanta Hawks superstar was in a New York state of mind on Tuesday morning and decided to have some fun with the Knicks fans by trolling them with a photo of Young listening to Fivio Foreign, Alicia Keys and Kanye West’s concrete jungle-themed “City of Gods.”

Trae Young was unable to suit up in the Hawks’ first visit to The Garden on Christmas Day after testing positive for COVID-19 on December 20. He’s sure to get a warm New York City welcome with an abundance of boos and “Fuck Trae Young” chants throughout the night.

The star point guard has the Hawks in position to make the NBA’s play-in tournament while the Knicks remain five games behind Atlanta and will be undermanned tonight at the World’s Most Famous Arena with the absence of forward Julius Randle.
It’s not only Trae Young’s play on the court that strokes the fire of New Yorkers. Back in September, Young took to Twitter following the release of Certified Lover Boy, throwing out the idea proposing that it was time for the public to reassess the rap power rankings with Drake surpassing JAY-Z for the throne.
“Yo when we gonna say Drake has passed Hov,” he wrote.

Young was vilified for the tweet six months ago and he should hear plenty more about it Tuesday night at MSG.
