BATON ROUGE, LA – Boosie Badazz is the people’s champ in Baton Rouge. Returning from a flight back home to the Louisiana capital on Tuesday morning (May 18), Boosie was greeted by flooding and strong winds in the area, which forced about 35 residents to flee their homes and temporarily seek shelter in the Baton Rouge Airport.
The 38-year-old entertainer was visibly upset by the sight of his people struggling. He was returning home to arrange his daughter’s birthday party, but the storm threw a wrench in his plans. WBRZ‘s Dana DiPiazza caught up with the charismatic rapper outside the airport.
“It’s crazy out here, you know it’s flooding everywhere,” he said. “I like to come home and get the hot weather, I don’t like rain.”

The “Wipe Me Down” rapper compared the scene to Hurricane Katrina, but it obviously wasn’t a storm of the same level.
“You know I was here for Katrina,” Boosie explained. “It’s not on that magnitude but I don’t like to see a lot of homeless people in the airport. I’ve got a heart too.”
For everyone’s sake, let’s hope the downpour subsides soon while a Flash Flood Warning reminds in effect for Wednesday (May 19). As for Boosie Badazz, he’ll be looking to travel to West Palm Beach, Florida for Memorial Day Weekend, where he’ll host a Celebrity Stripper Bowl at Playhouse 2 nightclub on May 28.
