Celeste has officially unveiled the music video for her latest single, “On With The Show,” offering fans a striking visual accompaniment to the track. This release serves as a precursor to her highly anticipated studio album, Woman Of Faces, which is slated for an October release via Polydor Records.
The singer-songwriter initially debuted the material during a high-energy performance at London’s KOKO venue. Developed in collaboration with frequent creative partner Matt Maltese, the track balances a tender, emotional core with a resilient, forward-driving momentum.
The accompanying video, helmed by director Rodrigo Inada, centers on the persona of “The Showgirl.” This character serves as a conduit for exploring the divide between the artist’s public-facing persona and her genuine inner life. Elaborating on the inspiration behind the track, Celeste noted the intense emotional labor required to maintain such a public image.
“I was very much in the moment of experiencing feelings of loss and needing to carry on, almost like an exaggerated hero’s journey,” she says of the song's gestation. “This feeling of needing to trudge on through heavier feelings, knowing you have another purpose that’s attached to something bigger than yourself, so you willingly go towards it and sacrifice your sense of wellbeing.”
