Doja Cat Concert Goes On After Impatient Fan Is Arrested For Making Bomb Threat

Indianapolis, IN – An unruly fan waiting to get into a Doja Cat concert ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Indianapolis on Saturday (January 8) was reportedly arrested by local authorities for making a bomb threat.

According to TMZ, the fan wanted to cut the growing line to get inside and decided to tell individuals near him he had a bomb on him. Police evacuated the area for 20 minutes while searching the grounds for the alleged explosive device, ultimately discovering no such item.

“A fan wanted to advance in line so he exercised very poor judgment and told those around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack,” Deputy Chief Joshua Barker told the IndyStar. “Someone did the right thing and alerted IMPD. The backpack was clean.”

The fan was arrested on outstanding warrants and the show went on, even as Doja Cat temporarily paused the show as two fans in the crowd were fighting.

The free concert by Doja Cat was part of a number of festivities occurring in the Hoosier State ahead of Monday’s (January 10) college football title game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia.

Doja Cat wants major changes for her career in 2022 and has been vocal about plenty of her unsung Hip Hop heroes. After concluding 2021 by giving props to Little Brother and professing a desire to work with 9th Wonder and Jay Versace, she bigged up Queens rapper Homeboy Sandman. In another one of her Instagram Live sessions, Doja gave him his flowers.

“So, Homeboy Sandman is a rapper and he’s really fucking dope, he’s one of my favorite rappers,” she said. “But he does this thing. There’s a part at the end of the song where he’s just supposed to be talking, but when he talks he still sounds like he’s rapping and it’s kinda funny. I don’t know why that’s funny. It’s not that funny but it’s kinda funny to me, I don’t know. Maybe just to me.”
