St. Petersburg, FL – OTM Frenchy, a rising Florida rapper, is currently sitting behind bars after he allegedly conspired with another man to commit a robbery in his hometown.
According to the St. Petersburg Catalyst, Frenchy, real name Francois Hester, was involved in an incident on January 27th. He allegedly assaulted an owner of a Mediterranean Restaurant with a handgun and robbed him of $21,500. Bajro Bajric, an alleged accomplice in the crime, was also charged as he allegedly knew the restaurant owner carried a large amount of cash on him when the two met.
Frenchy was arrested on March 23 and after being questioned by police, admitted to helping set up the robbery with Bajric. He was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
The 26-year-old Frenchy’s social media has been dormant since his March arrest, not long after he released his latest single “Touchdown.”
Frenchy’s arrest is the latest in a string of wild headlines to come out of the Sunshine State. Recently, Jacksonville rappers Yungeen Ace, Spinabenz, Whoppa Wit Da Choppa, and FastMoney Goon remixed Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” for a viral hit naming various gang rivals. Titled “Who I Smoke,” the video has amassed over 14 million views since its March release.
