With the 2021 NBA Finals well underway, Freddie Gibbs teamed up with Genius and ESPN to spit an exclusive freestyle based around the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.

Freddie Gibbs is no stranger to NBA-related songs, with songs like “Giannis” off Bandana and Piñata tracks “Lakers” and “Knicks” showcasing his love of basketball. History suggests there could be even more on his new album, Soul Sold Separately, which he says will be a “classic.”
“Soul Sold Separately, that’s my motherfucking all fresh shit,” he said. “The new album is going to be crazy. This is probably going to be the best album I did. I think this one. I think ever since Piñata, I’ve been dropping classic albums, so I’m not going to stop right there. You know what I’m saying?”
He continued, “Piñata, classic. Bandana was a classic. Alfredo is a classic. SSS, going to be the same thing. I leveled up on his album. It’s going to be more features. It’s a little more sauce on this one I would say. Alfredo, that was just me rapping with…shit, I barely wrote a fucking hook on Alfredo. I was just showing n-ggas they can’t rap better than me.”
Aside from music, Freddie Gibbs is currently at the Cannes Film Festival in France promoting his upcoming feature film, Down With the King.
