Gunna birthed a new wave with his “Pushin P” single featuring Young Thug and Future off his third studio album DS4Ever. Fans everywhere have been using the term, and major companies are looking to join in on the fun.
On Thursday (January 20), athletic sportswear giant Nike took to their Twitter with an ominous message for its fans.
“We had an internal meeting, and without getting into details, we’re pushin [P] all year,” Nike tweeted.

The sportswear brand figured they had a hit on their hands with their tweet, but people had another idea on their minds. Instead of agreeing with the term, fans had a field day dragging Nike for all the stress they’ve brought to people over the years with their SNKRs app. Fans go above and beyond to get that coveted “GOT ‘EM” notification, but most of the time are left hanging with an L.
“As in [p]airs [p]eople will actually want?,” wrote one fan while another said, “How y’all pushing [p] when y’all can’t even Push a notification correctly.”

Someone else tweeted, “What you need to do is put more pairs up on snkrs.”
Another brand that got into Gunna’s “P” slang was the Internation House Of Pancakes, otherwise known as IHOP. The breakfast restaurant took to their Twitter on Wednesday (January 19) to tweet their always ready to serve their trademark dishes.

“We’re always pushing [p]ancakes,” IHOP tweeted, which had Gunna reply, “IHO[P] Pushin [P].”
Gunna has been enjoying the ride following the release of his third studio album DS4Ever. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving over 150,000 album-equivalent units, with 4,000 of those copies being pure albums.
In a video clip posted to DJ Akademiks’ Twitter page, Gunna is noticeably excited to learn he’d surpassed The Weeknd’s Dawn FM sales in a very close race.
“They can’t fuck with me n-gga!” he shouts. “Nobody! Go on the internet right now and tell everybody who got the No. 1 album in the fucking world right now. Please. And this not the first one. This like the third one, but this the big one. Big P!”
