Lil Tecca is a prominent figure with the younger generation of Hip Hop fans. He has a strong following and was a staple at spring and summer festivals before Covid stopped all of that. His first two projects cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, and now it seems the young rapper is looking to make an even bigger splash with new material on the way.
Over the past week, photos of Tecca in the studio with his rapper friends surfaced online, causing a frenzy amongst fans. The Queens rapper linked up with Internet Money, Lil Yachty, Polo G and former rival Lil Mosey, fueling rumors that Tecca may have a new project on the way. Tecca hasn’t said anything about the link-ups besides sharing the picture of him and Lil Boat recording.

Taz Taylor of Internet Money may have let the cat out of the bag, though, when he shared the photo of the Tecca studio session with a caption that read, “We Love You Tecca 2 Executive Prod. Taz Taylor & @internetmoneyrecords.”

The Internet Money leader revealed even more on Twitter when he mentioned that Tecca and Yachty had recorded eight songs in the studio. He also shared a screen capture of Tecca and Mosey’s FaceTime call, hinting that the former foes buried their hatchet.
In Yachty’s repost of the picture with him and Tecca on Instagram, the Atlanta native hyped up the situation with his caption.
“This is happening…right now @liltecca,” Yachty wrote.

If all these hints lead to We Love You Tecca 2, fans may be in store for something special with this new mixtape from Tecca. His last project, Virgo Season, served as his debut album and dropped in September 2020. The album peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with “Dolly” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “When You Down” featuring Lil Durk and Polo G charting at No. 80 and No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tecca also joined an exclusive club recently. Thanks to his breakout mixtape, We Love You Tecca, going platinum in September, the 18-year-old joined Russ and J. Cole as the only members of the “Platinum With No Features” club.
