Lil Uzi Vert & Playboi Carti End Feud & Reunite For Rolling Loud NYC Performance

Queens, N.Y. – Rolling Loud teased that it would feel like 2017 again on Friday night (October 29), and they weren’t kidding. Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert put their petty feud to rest on Friday during Carti’s headlining set in the torrential downpour of Rolling Loud NYC.

Uzi surprised fans and popped out to perform their Die Lit collaboration “Shoota.” The embrace etches itself into one of the memorable moments in Rolling Loud’s history as Carti and Lil Uzi Vert shared a hug on stage. The Atlanta native let out a scream and the party was taken to another level from there.

“I gotta tell my bestie/Someone call my bestie/Think I found my bestie,” Uzi rapped to make the reconciliation that much more fitting.

Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti had been close friends and collaborators throughout each’s rise to stardom. In 2019, Uzi spoiled Thanksgiving when he let his followers know things weren’t cool between him and Carti. They continued to subliminally spar in 2020 when Uzi called Carti’s “Meh” single “just meh.”

Lil Uzi Vert also claimed in April 2020 that he and Playboi Carti actually exchanged blows to finally put their beef to bed. In August of this year, Uzi continued to tease a joint project from him and Carti.

Many thought the feud was squashed when both Uzi and Carti stepped out in matching Narcissist bomber jackets in September. The meetup set the stage for their official reunion on a rainy Friday night in Queens and fans couldn’t be happier.

By 2018, Playboi Carti said he had over 100 tracks with Uzi which includes the officially released “Wokeuplikethis*,” “Shoota,” “Of Course We Ghetto Flowers,” and “Lookin.”

Even though it’s only night two of Rolling Loud NYC, it’s going to be tough to steal the spotlight from Uzi and Carti’s reunion.
