Posted by Queens Of The Stone Age have officially unveiled their latest single, ‘Where The Goth Girls At?’, providing fans with a first look at their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Perfecth, which is slated for release in the coming weeks.
The American rock icons have maintained a formidable presence on the live circuit, most recently delivering a powerhouse performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in support of System Of A Down. Their set was so commanding that it nearly eclipsed the headliners, cementing their status as one of the most vital acts in modern rock.
The new single serves as a nostalgic, bass-driven exploration of frontman Josh Homme‘s teenage years. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Homme recalls his fascination with the gothic subculture of 1980s Los Angeles. He notes, “Watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that’s when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at. Teenage love, ain’t it grand?”
The accompanying music video sees the band reuniting with directors Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski. The visual is a star-studded affair, featuring appearances from comedian Steve Agee, artist Scarlett Kapella, and singer-actress Lou Lou Safran, all set against a backdrop of striking, ink-heavy aesthetics.
