New York, NY – All hell broke loose on social media on Tuesday night (September 14) after Fat Joe appeared to call Ja Rule collaborators Lil Mo and Vita “dusty bitches” while insinuating they were drug addicts during the latest Verzuz battle.

Although the Terror Squad rapper ultimately apologized for his comments, Lil Mo wanted more and demanded an apology via Instagram the following day.

“I need EVERYONE to tell @Fatjoe he owes A genuine Apology,” she wrote to her one million followers. “I don’t Live in A #CrackHouse , I’m Not A #Bxtch nor am I Dusty!!! #StreetCODE Women & Children is off limits.”

Although Lil Mo’s post drew support from fellow female MC Mia X and many others, Remy Ma wasn’t trying to hear it and quickly jumped to Fat Joe’s defense in the comment section, suggesting it wasn’t that serious.

“@thelilmoshow Stop it Mo,” Remy began. “You know damn well Joe ain’t on it like that. First of all …you, V, Shanti- or nobody had even come out yet- when him and Ja was going back & forth; we didn’t know who was in the back. Second… I was in the car when you walked thru the parking lot and he hugged you, & showed mad love as usual.

“No need for your followers to tell him anything, as someone that personally knows you I’m sorry you were offended – you can call my phone ; matter fact I’m gonna dm you my number in case you don’t have it anymore – but also as someone that personally knows Joe he was not intentionally trying to hurt anyone- it was a battle between friends that are like family, sidebar: #streetcode don’t do social media.”

Fat Joe, however, did oblige and apologize profusely to Lil Mo for the perceived misunderstanding, marking the second “I’m sorry” in less than 24 hours.

“I’m super sorry,” he added. “i love you and vida i said sorry to your face before i left the building and to vida i was caught in the moment and I’m super sorry god bless.”

Someone claiming to be Lil Mo’s nephew replied to Joe, “I’m a man. That’s my family you feel me so that’s how I’m coming I have the utmost respect for my aunt & what she’s been through especially cause she’s well respected in the game Yk I love my people dearly.”

The Fat Joe versus Ja Rule battle took place at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City. Around the time Lil Mo and Vita hit the stage to perform “Put It On Me” from Ja Rule’s 2000 album Rule 3:36, Fat Joe said, “Oh, them dusty bitches. You had to go to the crack house to find them bitches.”

He later issued an apology via Twitter that read, “Shout out to the ladies very sorry if i disrespected. i love vida and lil Moe I’m super sorry love my sisters.”
