Rick Ross Reveals The Real Reason He Walked Off '85 South' Podcast

Rick Ross created a viral moment without even knowing it when he walked off DC YoungFly’s 85 South Comedy Show in December. The MMG mogul disappeared to take a bathroom break, but never returned.

Rozay stopped by The Breakfast Club on Monday (April 25) and addressed his abrupt 85 South exit, revealing it was a simple mental lapse that led to him heading out the door.

“I think I was really just in a zone,” he explained. “I was smoked out good and I was in a zone. When I’m in a zone and I get one of those money calls, I just ease out that muthafucka’. I’ma be honest, when I found out about it, it was already everywhere online.

“I ain’t even realize it. I went to the bathroom, was on the phone and smoked one. You go outside and just leave. Them my lil’ homies too and it was a cool interview. We smoking and chilling and shit.”

During his curtailed appearance on the 85 South podcast, Rick Ross was reminiscing about some of his early hits like “Hustlin’” before excusing himself to use the bathroom to never return. Needless to say, his departure left the hosts flummoxed when they realized he had actually left the building and wasn’t coming back.

“We ain’t get no dap?!” DC Young Fly asked with a laugh. “How he just gon’ disappear on a n-gga like that? We ain’t even say bye or nothing!” Co-host Chico Bean added, “That n-gga The Phantom of the Opera. I tell you one thing: from now on, that’s how the fuck I’m leaving.”

Meanwhile, comedian Corey Holcomb theorized that Ross left the building after realizing none of the hosts were homosexual.

“That boy showed up at the 85 South Show and realized ain’t none of these n-ggas gay,” he said on Darlene Ortiz’s Loose Talk About Bullshit podcast. “I’m leavin … he was around all heterosexual n-ggas. Don’t nobody say that. N-gga, we know what it is. Y’all muthafuckas get mad at me. N-gga, let me tell you something.

“If Rick Ross watching this, let me tell you something — stop hiring drivers. Drivers always tell on ya, n-gga. I know what happened at LAX with that boy.”
