Swae Lee Hits Studio With Metro Boomin' After Securing Lost Hard Drive

After nearly losing a year’s worth of music stored on a hard drive, which Swae Lee accidentally left at Los Angeles International Airport on December 14, the lucrative piece of hardware is now safe and sound in Swae’s possession. With the exhausting hard drive mess behind him and his pockets possibly a lighter, the Rae Sremmurd leader is moving on and getting back to the studio.

The singer-rapper was spotted in the studio cooking up with ATL production staple Metro Boomin’ on Wednesday night (December 23) before everyone headed home for the holidays. The clip finds Swae lighting up in the booth while Metro mans the boards outside, but it’s without any sound for listeners looking for a snippet.

Swae initially offered a reward of $20,000 for the hard drive and he even went on Instagram Live with an anonymous masked individual claiming to have the hard drive in their possession. They demanded $150,000 or a feature from Swae or Drake and the hard drive would be returned.

In an interview with GQ earlier this week, Swae proclaimed the hard drive was on its way back.

“[It’s] on its way back,” Swae revealed. “It’s like a movie, bro. … But I’m not really stressing. I’ve dealt with worse shit than this.”
