The Game has been in the public eye more often these days as he prepares to drop his 10th studio album album Drillmatic: Mind Vs. Heart next month. While speaking with the I Am Athlete podcast, the veteran rapper was asked to name one nice thing about his “Hate It Or Love It” collaborator 50 Cent, who he’s been beefing with again since March.
“Sometimes you need loose change,” he said with a smirk. As the hosts began to chuckle, the 42-year-old rapper continued, “Let me break it down. Yo, let’s make sense of it. Let’s just say you left your wallet at home. You’re in your car, you pull over in L.A., there’s a parking meter. You open your middle console, you got a dollar.
“The parking meter ain’t takin’ a dollar. And then you scrape to the bottom, past the Chapstick, past your earbuds and then you find a quarter, like 35 cent. You’re gonna be able to stay there for about 15 minutes. Loose change, you need it sometimes.”
50 Cent and The Game’s once-dormant beef was reignited when the Power mogul clowned The Game for allegedly getting snubbed by Interscope Records executive Jimmy Iovine at a basketball game.
“LOL The man didn’t even look at him,” 50 wrote under a video clip of the alleged snub. “Get this guy out of here 50 wrote the records. LMFAO.”
The Game soon fired back at 50 Cent and claimed he didn’t even notice Iovine, while challenging 50 Cent to write another hit.
“N-gga, I ain’t even see Mr. Burns,” he wrote. “If you wrote my records … write you one today and put it out n-gga! Your rap career died wit them loli pop strap tank tops … you a actor, [and] that’s why you ran to tv […] leave this rap shit to n-ggas who can spell correctly and actually got bars, goofy n-gga!”
Game, who was previously signed to G-Unit Records, also criticized 50 Cent’s physique, exposed an old DM from 50 Cent’s girlfriend Cuban Link and accused him of being scared to do a Verzuz.
“Hit [Swizz Beatz] and [Timbaland] ASAP & stop runnin from this Verzuz,” Game continued. “Oh, and tell ya girl stay out my DM’s … if she don’t want her man over weight, fat as fuck hanging ups.”
As for Drillmatic, the album was originally expected to drop this month, but he pushed the release date to July 17. In the meantime, watch the full interview above. Game’s comments about 50 Cent kick off the conversation.
