NBA YoungBoy’s romantic life is complicated to say the least. With multiple children and their mothers fighting over the 21-year-old Louisiana native, there’s been no shortage of drama.
In April 2020, Yaya Mayweather — the daughter of famed boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. — was arrested for allegedly stabbing the mother of one of YoungBoy’s children and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to Hot 97, she’s now facing up to 20 years behind bars if convicted.

Mayweather and YoungBoy have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years. They welcomed a child together in January, NBA YoungBoy’s seventh (he has since welcomed number eight).
Meanwhile, the chart-topping rapper is wrought with legal troubles of his own. In March, YoungBoy was arrested in Los Angeles following a dramatic foot pursuit and extradited to his home state to face charges related to a drug and weapons bust. He’s charged with one count of illegal possession of firearms by a felon and possession of an unregistered weapon.
Mayweather allegedly grew incensed when she arrived to YoungBoy’s house and found Lapattra Lashai Jacobs there. After informing Jacobs she was YoungBoy’s fiancée, she ordered her to leave. When she refused, an argument ensued and moved into the kitchen, where Mayweather grabbed two knives.
As Jacobs stepped toward Mayweather, she reportedly charged at Jacobs with one of the knives. Jacobs was then hit with the second knife and fell to the floor, where she was discovered by EMTs in a pool of blood. She was treated at the hospital and released.
Mayweather’s trial is reportedly set for February 2022.
