A love letter to shoegaze, the release positions the Swiss trio amongst gritty acoustics, reverb and bittersweet melancholia. Spotlight track ‘Stone Temple’ is the heart of the project, pulling influences from dream pop and alternative rock, to fashion a bold, cinematic netherworld.
Drawing together long-term collaborators Alex Herter and Andreas Vischer, while identifying Andy Hofsetter as the missing part of the puzzle, Zabriskie reflects the outfit’s free-flowing dynamic.
Building their sound across the 2010s, their material pulls from the past, present and future, fusing lengthy studio-sessions with ad-hoc live performance.
‘Ghosts In Time’ asserts the group’s strengths collectively and constructs atmosphere, striking on an indulgent, heady nostalgia amongst its listeners.
