Quality Control has already made waves in the music industry with their all-star roster of artists while crossing over into the sports world with some key signings. Now, there’s another space the ATL company is looking to conquer.
On Wednesday (December 15), Deadline reported Quality Control’s film and TV department signed a partnership with Critical Content, the production studio behind Catfish and Celebrity Game Face. The deal will see the two companies develop unscripted TV series for QC’s artists including Migos, Lil Baby, City Girls and Lil Yachty.
The first project from Quality Control and Critical Content’s partnership is a show called Equal Justice, which will find some of the biggest Hip Hop artists teaming up with the best attorneys to offer defendants across the country a chance at a fair trial.
“The alliance with Critical Content represents a unique opportunity for Quality Control and the many prominent athletes and artists under the QC umbrella of companies,” Brian Sher, president of Quality Control’s film department, said. “Critical’s world-class ability to package, present and sell premium content will enable us to expand Quality Control’s footprint with new and diverse content for our global fanbase.”

Tom Forman, CEO at Critical Content, added, “Quality Films team, under the stewardship of Coach K, Brian, and P, has unparalleled access, relationships, acumen and taste. We’re excited to pair Critical Content’s award-winning storytelling and production capabilities with QC’s talent roster, creative POV and proven ability to generate worldwide hits in any genre or medium.”
Quality Control co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee said, “I have been a fan of Tom’s work for many years and have recently gotten to know him on a personal level. He clearly understands the culture and knows how to develop the kinds of unscripted projects that Quality Films want to be a part of.”
QC and Critical Content have previously collaborated on a YouTube series called Home Courts, in which Quavo went to several iconic basketball courts around the country and met with “athletes, artists and activists who use these public spaces to effect change in their communities.”
Quality Control are reportedly working on a major move that will put them even higher in the rap record label power rankings. According to The Jasmine Brand, the label are currently in talks to sign R&B superstar Chris Brown.
