Gucci Mane memorialized his late friend Young Dolph on the closing track to his new 1017 holiday compilation album So Icy Christmas titled “Long Live Dolph,” and he’s back with the official music video.
On Monday (December 20), Gucci unleashed the video directed by Omar The Director, and it finds Guwop rapping Dolph in what appears to be a garden in a church. Archival footage of Dolph hanging out with family and friends are also seen throughout the video.
“Never get your flowers while you’re here, and damn, that says a lot / All this senseless violence that I’m seein’, I swear it needs to stop / Humans killing other human beings almost ’round the clock / In a circular, circlin’ the block,” Gucci raps.

One of the most touching parts of the video is when Gucci has actual members of Dolph’s Paper Route Empire imprint appear throughout the video. The visual ends with a pair of photos showing Dolph and Gucci hanging out as the 1017 boss walks off camera.
Gucci was one of many rappers who paid their respects to Young Dolph who was shot and killed in Memphis, Tennessee last month. LL Cool J, Westside Gunn, Russ, Megan Thee Stallion, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and more mourned his loss and sent their best wishes to the family.
So Icy Christmas features Pooh Shiesty, 2021 HipHopDX Rising Star Foogiano, Enchanting, BigWalkDog, Big Scarr, Hotboy Wes, and BiC Fizzle. It’s the third 1017 tape of 2021, following So Icy Boyz in October and Ice Daddy in June. The collective also released So Icy Gang Vol. 1 in 2020, which peaked at No. 46 on the Billboard 200.
