Pretty Ricky rapper Baby Blue was sentenced to 20 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud last December.
The sentencing arrived after Baby Blue was accused in October 2020 of filing fake loan applications to obtain funds specifically allotted to small businesses as part of the U.S. Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Baby Blue received more than $24 million as a result of the scam.
On Sunday (February 6), Baby Blue held a private farewell party at Prime 112 in Miami, which he dubbed ‘The Last Supper” in an Instagram post.
“My immediate circle of family and friends joined me in a private room at Prime 112 on South Beach Miami, FL to say their farewells on the even of my prison surrender,” he wrote in the caption. “The night was filled with tears and laughter. I love you all. See you soon. Don’t forget to write.”

What was likely intended to be a serious moment on The ‘Gram turned into an opportunity to roast the 36-year-old Miami native.
“This man only doing a year and 8 months if he don’t gone somewhere n-gga acting like he finna go in and do life,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “He act like he about to do life without parole” and “He so extra!! Boy just go to jail!!!”
But that was just the beginning though. Other comments such as “Bro its 18 months lol sounding like he’s doing life” and “LMAOOO not the last supper, we’ll see u in like a year” littered The Shade Room post.
Baby Blue may be going away for awhile, but it sounds like he’s planning to make the best of it. In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked in May 2021, he said he intends to use the time to workout and transform his body much like Gucci Mane did while he was locked up.
“I ain’t tripping,” he said. “When I get out, Ima be ripped up like Gucci Mane! And I’ma be one of the hottest rappers in the world! My new single, ‘Up Again’ drop Friday! I’m talking bout them fuck n-ggas who TRIED to rob me but ain’t get SHIT!” Thankful to be Alive! All glory to God! Love my fans, family and friends for sticking with a n-gga through everything! All them prayers definitely saved my life! Only thing ima really miss is time away from my kids. I just had a baby boy this year and Ima miss his little giggles for sure!”
The sentence comes on the heels of a tumultuous year for Baby Blue. Last April, Blue was approached by two armed robbers while at Miami’s Sparez Bowling Alley and wound up getting shot. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition and luckily survived.
