Boston, MA – The Golden State Warriors are champions once again. After capturing their fourth title in eight years following Thursday night’s (June 16) Game 6 defeat of the Boston Celtics 103-90, Hip Hop saluted the Dubs on continuing their dynastic run with Steph Curry taking home his first Finals MVP trophy.
The Kendrick Lamar album theory resurfaced this year as K. Dot previously released projects in 2015 and 2017, the last times that the Warriors won titles. In 2022, the Compton native’s return signaled that GSW would walk away champions once again. Last night’s victory gave even more validity to the theory.
Superfan E-40, who attended all of the NBA Finals games in the Bay Area, was hyped to see his hometown team raise the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the fourth time since 2015.
“Like I said The bay against the world! Congratulations @warriors #dynasty,” he wrote.

Thursday night was a busy one for Drake. In addition to releasing his dance-heavy Honestly, Nevermind album, he cashed another six-figure bet on Stake with his prediction of the Warriors winning in six games netting him close to a $700,000 win.
Just one @warriors win away from this bet paying out for @Drake ?

On the flip side for Drake, not all NBA players were feeling his latest experimental offering in the form of his new album. Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal dissed the project using its Honestly, Nevermind title against him.
“Dude said it’s called “Honestly, Nevermind” maybe he meant that,” Beal wrote on Twitter.
