BINA. Explores the Perils of Capitalism on New Single ‘Zombies’

South London artist BINA. has shared her new single, ‘Zombies’. Since releasing her EP ‘Humble Abode’ in 2019, BINA. has consistently evolved, navigating a soundscape that careens between progressive R&B, jazz, and rock-adjacent textures. Her work draws inspiration from forward-thinking luminaries such as Solange, Kelela, Tame Impala, and BADBADNOTGOOD.

On ‘Zombies’, BINA. melds her expressive, soulful vocals with a gritty, grunge-inspired backdrop produced by Jonathan Quarmby. Lyrically, the track serves as a poignant commentary on the tedium of late-stage capitalism, reflecting on the counterfeit and often colourless nature of the music industry she navigates in real-time.

“We know it’s all fake, but we keep doing it anyway,” BINA. says of the perennial hamster wheel.

A true multi-hyphenate, BINA. balances her musical output with a thriving career as a visual artist, DJ, and model. Her creative footprint extends to collaborations with major brands including Nike, VANS, Lazy OAF, and Doc Martens, alongside high-profile appearances on the runway for Anciela London during Fashion Week.

This latest release follows her 2024 EP, ‘Chaos Is Her Name’—a project that leaned into experimental and subversive territory, acting as a prelude to the new era she is currently fleshing out with greater granular detail. As she continues to refine her artistic vision, ‘Zombies’ stands as a testament to her refusal to conform.

Tune in now.
