Oasis Reunion Documentary Confirmed for September Release

A comprehensive documentary capturing the monumental Oasis reunion has been officially confirmed. Widely regarded as the defining live music event of the modern era, the band’s return to the stage stunned audiences, shattered box office records, and sparked a profound cultural conversation.

From the band’s inaugural performance in Cardiff to their triumphant stands in Manchester and London, and through to their expansive North American tour and ecstatic finales in Brazil, the Oasis ’25 tour will now be preserved for posterity. The film is produced by Disney, Magna Studios, and Sony Music Vision.

Presented by Disney+, the documentary is scheduled to open in select IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited theatrical engagement beginning September 11th, before arriving on the streaming platform. The project is helmed by BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer, producer, and director Steven Knight, with direction from documentary veterans Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for their work on Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.

The film promises an unprecedented look behind the curtain, featuring a wealth of never-before-seen footage. This includes intimate rehearsal sessions, exclusive backstage access, and, most notably, the first joint interviews with Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher in over 25 years.

I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. — Steven Knight

Eric Schrier, President of Direct-to-Consumer International Originals, Strategic Programming, and Emerging Media, noted the significance of the project: “The film is an intimate story of reconciliation, the power of music, and Oasis, one of the most successful and influential acts of all time. It’s a privilege to bring this extraordinary film to the big screen and to Disney+ subscribers around the world.”

The untitled Oasis documentary is set to hit streaming services on September 11th.
