The music world is buzzing with speculation as Drake is reportedly being considered as a headliner for the 2027 Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. According to a recent report from Hits Daily Double, the OVO Sound leader is currently in discussions for the prestigious slot, potentially marking his return to the festival stage after more than a decade.

Drake previously headlined Coachella in 2015 and made a memorable appearance as a surprise guest during Future’s set in 2017. While official confirmation is pending, the prospect of his return has generated significant excitement among fans. XXL has reached out to the artist’s representatives for comment regarding these rumors.

A Busy Year Ahead

This potential festival appearance aligns with the momentum surrounding the artist’s 2026 output. Earlier this year, he released a trifecta of albums—Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti—and has already committed to a major tour in 2027. During a September interview with Etalk Canada, he confirmed his plans to hit the road, stating, “Obviously, tour is coming, and other things on the horizon. Of course, we’ll be out, you know, 2027 to see everybody again across the world.”

In addition to his touring plans, the artist recently expanded his catalog with an updated version of Habibti (FOMO), which features new tracks like “Solar Eclipse” with Don Toliver and a remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.” The project also includes “Québec,” “Cold Shoulder” featuring Don Toliver and Yebba, and “Classic Pt. 2,” further cementing his presence in the current musical landscape as he prepares for a massive 2027.
