Posted by The Heavy North are bouncing back with their latest single, ‘Alive.’
A wholehearted embrace of blues-rock nostalgia, the Liverpool outfit put forward a gripping, heart-on-sleeve listen that connects far and wide. From beginning to end, the track centres itself on rich, autumnal acoustics, reflecting on themes of love, infatuation and passion over a raw vocal performance.
The current day sees The Heavy North gear up towards their third forthcoming album, an all-hands-on-deck project that promises a bold return from the band. After years in the making, it’s a collection of tracks that has travelled between Granada and the band’s hometown, presenting a new milestone for the outfit, who have long-established themselves as a live act.
‘Alive’ is accompanied by Luca Crispin-filmed visuals, piecing together a love letter to the city that raised The Heavy North. Speaking on the track, the band share: “‘Alive’ is essentially a love song about being infatuated with someone and not knowing if they feel the same love you feel for them. A closeness and bond you share with someone almost makes you feel that nothing else in the world matters, and it can make you feel ‘alive’.”
Tune in now.
