The project’s debut EP was a startling introduction, sweeping elements of pop possibility wrapped around rugged avant-garde ideals.
Joe Bedell-Brill and Georgie Hoare will release a second EP this Autumn, with a general theme of removing oneself from stasis.
Remarkably apt for these lockdown times, the project is led by bold new single ‘Automatic’.
Sweeping outwards to the future, it comes with some gripping, riveting visuals.
“Our music can make us feel so powerful, and at other times lost and anxious – so the songs reflect that – a disorientating mix of confidence and sadness,” the duo explain.
“In ‘Automatic’ we are moving endlessly onwards, away from our own anxieties – fragile mother of pearl kids in the whirlwind. We choose a defiant nihilism over anxiety, no matter the cost. And when everything clears around us, we have just each other left.”
