After two decades together Gaspard Augé is now intending to focus on a solo project, with new album ‘Escapades’ landing this summer.
Out on June 25th though Genesis / Ed Banger Records / Because Music, it’s led by bolshy new single ‘Hey !’.
A slice of maximalist electronics that marries its larger-than-life feel to a palpable sense of urgency, it comes equipped with a Filip Nilsson-directed visual.
Shot in Turkey, the desert plains double for Mongolia and feature a horse rider gleefully racing across the arid landscape.
He comments: “This is the first thing that came to my mind while recording the track; a mongolian horse rider playing the violin in the steppe, an epic ride with a far east feel. Filip Nilsson and the amazing rider Metin Yılmaz made that dream come true.”
